One thing I actually really like about Smash is the fact that they don’t talk about Marilyn Monroe like a lot of people do today. They recognize how wonderful, elegant, talented, and driven she was - and talk about her in a respectful way. They don’t say anything about her being a “slut” or anything like that, which is really quite refreshing.
